KEEPING SENIORS ON THEIR FEET
OUR NEWEST PROGRAM
Keeping frail seniors on their feet, and preventing potentially disastrous falls, is the newest program of ” the Senior Care Disabilities Foundation”. Their staff
members advise Seniors on proper footware, assess their medications for side efects that might cause dizziness. They visit their homes to install night lights and bath and shower rails. These services are designed to keep seniors out of nursing homes. This is in addition to the other services Senior Care offers. Help with utility bills , food, and with drug prescriptions. Plus free rides to all the services.
For elderly people, falls can be disastrous, and even deadly. According to the “home safety council” more than 4700 Seniors suffer fatal falls each year, and 1.5 million are injured. As our population ages these numbers are increasing. A broken hip or head injury can mean “they never come home” from the hospital and nursing home.
THIS COMPREHENSIVE PROGRAM IS “TOTALLY” FUNDED THROUGH CARING PEOPLE WHO CARE ENOUGH TO MAKE AN IMPACT ON A SENIOR’S LIFE.
